TV Flop shows

Holby Blue
A sister show to popular medical dramas Casualty and Holby City, Holby Blue revolved around Holby South police station. It starred Tim Pigott-Smith, Kieran O'Brien, Zoe Lucker and Kacey Ainsworth and ran from 2007 to 2008. Dogged by poor ratings, the BBC didn't bother with a third series.
It's Now Or Never Channel Five's Terry Wogan and Gaby Roslin chat show was axed after just nine months on air following disappointing ratings. The news came as a bit of a blow to its producer Chris Evans; he'd said he would become a market trader if it wasn't a hit. The series finished in 2004.
Pushing Daisies
Quirky series about a pie-maker named Ned (played by Lee Pace) who could bring people back from the dead. One of the resurrections was his first love Chuck (British actress Anna Friel). Despite critical acclaim, the show slid in the ratings on both sides of the Atlantic. Its US broadcaster ABC pulled the plug in 2009.
It's Now Or Never

Prime time Saturday night series in which members of the public put real life situations into song and dance numbers (I kid you not). No surprise that just 1.7 million bothered to tune in; ITV1 axed it after the first show in 2006. How embarrassing for host Phillip Schofield.

That Antony Cotton Show

The Coronation Street star's ITV1 chat show debuted in August 2007 with 2 million viewers and a slating from the critics. Ratings fell to around 1.1 million thanks to the impact of Channel 4 hit Deal Or No Deal. Only one series was ever aired.

Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation

Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine enjoyed spectacular success on the BBC with their show What Not To Wear. They defected to ITV for loads of money, but their subsequent series failed to capture the imagination in the way What Not To Wear had done. Trinny and Susannah Undress The Nation, for example, went as low as 2.2 million viewers in a prime time slot.
